Introducing: Green Strings

Hey StringSavers!

It’s been a while since our last post, but I have not been sitting on my hands. Like I said in the last post, it’s a new year with new challenges.

The first boxes with strings are expected to arrive from our recycling points this year. What I’d like to do now is take our program to the next level, where we kick-start a circular economy by creating return value for our old strings.

I’ve been thinking about this for the past few months and talking about it with some of you as well. It became clear that somebody has to take the first step, so it might as well be me.

For the past few months I’ve been busy preparing, signing contracts, opening a business bank account and adjusting our website.

Long story short … StringSavers has just opened a nonprofit music shop for all sustainable music strings.

To give you a quick idea of our unique shopping concept, I made a short animation, which you can view below. I also put it on the StringSavers homepage.

I am very curious about your reactions, so don’t hesitate to share your thoughts.

Thanks again for your interest and hope to see you again next time.

Cheerz, Robben
